Hello All,

My husband and I are updating our laundry room and are having a HUGE debate about the way our utility sink is tied into our washing machine lines. I've attached a picture.

I am very handy (although, I confess, I'm much more of a carpenter).

The thing that concerns me most about this line is that we really can't shut off water to just one thing. Water pressure doesn't seem to be issue with either the sink or the washer.
The did do a proper cut out and drain into the stack.

Let me know your thoughts.

If that's how there doing the water lines I would also question the drain line. That is more of a concern. If the waste line is installed incorrectly sewer gas could enter your home which is a very unhealthy condition.

I would personally cut in new water lines instead of using those adapters, but it does get water out of the faucet.
