Default An unusual problem regarding cooling hot water in pipe

Hi guys,
I have an unusual problem here. The water pump that has I've been using has been damaged due to excessive water temperature (~194F). Is there anyway to avoid further pump damage?

I've thought of adding a heat sink to the pipe therefore cooling it down before it reaches the pump. (Like in the case of a computer's CPU)

Or allowing the hot-water to flow into a water tank first allowing heat to be dissipated into the atmosphere before allowing it to flow into a pipe and into the pump.

Any help would be good here.
Thanks
