Need help in calculating the required pump motor capacity. Thanks!

Hello,

I am in need of a small pump, that can lift water up to 2-3 feet high and can give water pressure 40-45 psi. Water flow rate should be similar to what a bathroom sink faucet would have.

I need to know what kind of pump should i have to buy for this requirement.
But I do not know how to figure this out.

Could someone point me to some help?

little more info please, outside use? inside? how are you controlling it?

A pump that will lift 2 - 3 feet is no problem, but the 45 psi might be for many pumps. The only pump that comes to mind for me is a small shallow well jet pump. A 1/2hp would make the 45 psi and can actually lift 25 feet max. The flow is far greater than a bathroom faucet though. As pressure goes up, flow goes down, so it may be self regulating in that respect. Their pressure generally poops out at around 50 psi.

Another idea is a 12 volt demand pump. They will make pressure and lift at least 3 feet. Delevan is one brand.

That pump will only make about 3 lbs.
