Seems right. How often do you clean out the cylindrical lint trap? I just did myself and found bobby pins, hair, a dime and other assorted crap. I believe that needs to be cleaned out monthly.

After blowing up the pic, you seem to be correct. Sure looked like hose clamps on my first look, but I don't think this is the concern. I believe it is leaking from the sharkbites not installed...
