Been a year since I officially retired. Haven't had much spare time since. I am raising goats for milk and meat. Got 3/4 acres fenced off out back and the neighbor lets me use another acre of his property, that I fenced in, for more space. Finishing a chicken coop. Had to build one since my wife bought an incubator and hatched two eggs a neighbor gave her. My shop is a mess so I may bring my scroll saw into an extra bedroom to use. MIL died and we have a bunch of her stuff in my shop, including kitchen cabinets that I will, eventually, get mounted on the shop walls. When I bought the house, it was a Repo so I am slowly fixing all the bad things. The guy that built the house was a brick layer, and quite good at it. Problem was, he "thought" he was a Plumber, electrician and drywall installer. Large house at a low price, so it will all be worth it. All I have to do is outlive the repair list.

Congrats, I am on a ten year plan myself. I am hoping to retire between 40 and 50.

I'm impressed. I guess I think about retirement as an opportunity to do nothing, but then I talk to you guys and y'all are far more active than I am.

There are very few days that I do nothing. I try to plan one outing a day, either by shopping for goods, or checking for bargains. The next day, I will do something around the house that I had never had the chance to do before retirement.

Boy, I'm not feeling the love around these parts much anymore. I'm gunna take a bottle of Viagra and drink a case of Ensure and **** you all! :)

I think everyone dreams of sitting around and doing nothing once they retire. It makes for a very boring life and days that never seem to end. The one nice thing is that you can set the pace of the things you want to do.

My Grandfather was active in his retirement. All his Grandkids saw him a lot. I hope my retirement is like that.

I hope I get to retire.

Havasu did you get the ensure down? I hate that stuff. My wife was sick during our pregnancy, she had to drink it to gain weight. I would drink it with her, solidarity and all.

Havasu, I know the feeling. I took the Viagra and ate some chocolate candy. Didn't know it was Ex-lax. Now I don't know if I am coming or going.

That's too funny! Unfortunately, I can't laugh until my wife returns from the drug store with a new box of Depends.

No, I lost my glasses and couldn't find it.

Did you check the top of your head? Whenever I can't find them, that's where they are.

Both? LOL.

If they cost anywhere near diapers I feel sorry for you. My Daughter is potty trained now, but man, diapers where the major expense.
