I looked at tha pic you put up. I will get some pix of our rigs digging. We also use mud rotary type. There's not much rock around here to warrant any other type. The hardest rock we have is lime stone, and its only about a foot or less thick. We have a slide rack on the truck, I would think the carousel would be a little faster.
