Default Leaking Tub Spout

I recently replaced the pressure balance unit and the mixing cap on my kohler forte faucet. I was hoping that this was going to stop the leak from the tub spout and the shower head.

Can anyone shed some light as to why this did not work?

I don't know anything about that valve, but when i put new washers in mine i was told to use a good amount of waterproof grease. Did you use that? If not you may have pinched of cut an o-ring.

Other than that i really don't know.

Not being familiar with this specific valve, I did some reading and found that incoming water pressure is very important for this valve to function correctly. The manufacturer recommends 45 pounds of pressure. Have you confirmed your water pressure?

I understand this is not much help to you, so I have also included the Kohler PDF files for this valve below.

Maybe I should clarify a bit further.

The spout and shower head only leak when the water is on. Is this normal?
