Default **Wall mount toilet for residetial**

Has anyone installed a wall mount toilet in a residential application?? Can you just install backing or do you have to use the "Carrier" type mount?? Also...Do you use a standard "Sloan" type valve or......???? Thanks, Frank!

I have only used them in commercial applications. They do, however, make units for residential use. Still have a carrier mounting system and the tank is in the wall behind the bowl. 1/2" water supply line is used. I have included an article that may interest you and it contains lots of info on this type toilet. Just click on the link below.

Thanks for the article, majakdragon. Interesting stuff, at least to a plumber. That likes his job too much. Like me.

I have installed a few. Both in VERY high end homes. One of them cost over $2k and had a heated seat and "blow dryer" built in. None of them required more than 1/2" supply. Most of them have Sloan "Pressure Assist" type tanks.

All wall hungs require a carrier. Do you want your mother in law relying on backing while sitting on top of a bowl of $&!%?
