Default Toilet fill valve not shutting

Sliding spring clip up/down does not shut water in tank.(Fluidmaster 400A)
Adjustments do not shut water in time-it goes into overflow tube.
What should I do?Thanks.

replace it (the fillvalve, not the toilet :P )

You need a replacement seal.
Fluidmaster 242 Fill Valve Replacement Seal
