Default No cold water....

We moved into a new home, and when we turn on the cold water faucet, we may get cold for 30 seconds, tops. Then it progressively turns warmer. Not, hot faucet water, mind you, but certainly not the cold that we are looking for. Hot water faucets, yeah they get plenty hot. This is true for all sinks all tubs.

My first response is that you probably have a faucet or tub/shower valve that has a defective cartridge that is allowing the hot water to cross over to the cold water system.

If this is a brand new home, I would call your builder and have him bring his plumber out to find and fix the problem.

May just be the depth the main water line is buried at. My water is warm all summer, and then freezing cold in the winter.
