Default Faucet removal

I've nearly finished removing my kitchen faucet, but am having difficulty removing the middle fastener. It looks like there are screws coming down, but I can't access anything from above because the faucet is too secure and the plate is trapped. I'm unsure of what to do from here.

Solved the problem myself. Turned the faucet with a wrench and tried unscrewing a flat-head in the front center rod, faucet came right up.
