Default My huge problem...and your advice

Hi everyone,

I'm someone with only DIY type training from my dad who's a second generation plumber by trade. He's not here to help me on this one, but I live in a two story house that requires me to pump water upstairs. REcently, this particular piece of my "faucet stem" broke on me forcing me to turn off my water pump every other second. The manufacturer is American Standard, but I am unable to ID the part. If anyone could help, I would really appreciate any advice.

Save yourself the headache and replace the whole pump.

Doesn't seem to be the pump thats the problem. It's one of his faucets.

Sorry, i can't really help with your problem. Are there any numbers in the view in your 3rd picture? I can't read the writing....

That looks like a Kohler tub/shower cartridge. If it broke, they may be able to help you. Their customer support number is 1-800-456-4537.
You may be on hold for a while, but follow the prompts, answer a few questions and they usually are very friendly and helpful.

Caduceus, I absolutely KNEW that I had seen that valve before, but I couldn't remember the brand. It's been about 4 years.
