I live in Denver. I understand that Denver uses the 2009 IRC.
Can some one explain the 10 feet rule to me in layman's terms... My plans are to put the ejector put in the basement floor. The pit expulsion pipe would run directly up 6.5 feet, turn 90 degrees to horizontal, continue for 3 feet, turn left 90 degrees, continue 2.5 feet, and connect to the main 3 or 4 in sewer line.
"P3007.3.5 Ejector connection to the drainage system. Pumps connected to the drainage system shall connect to the building sewer or shall connect to a wye fitting in the build- ing drain a minimum of 10 feet (3048 mm) from the base of any soil stack, waste stack or fixture drain. Where the dis- charge line connects into horizontal drainage piping, the connection shall be made through a wye fitting into the top of the drainage piping."
Thanks in advance
