So here is the deal - where the main sewer line exits my basement I just started to get water leaking. If I run the shower, it starts. It seems to be getting slightly worse as the days go on. As far as I can tell it is coming through the concrete patch (that was there when I bought the house). It gets to a point that there is a stead stream that runs back down off the pipe.
I am somewhat plumbing clueless, but relatively handy. Do you think there is damage to the pipe beyond the wall? Is it clogged somewhere out to the street? I thought about taking out all the patch work and trying a hydraulic cement re-do - but with something simple as a bath running to cause that must mean it is pretty clogged right?
It is all cast iron and looks like it has seen better days.
