Default How to remove the cover?

Hey guys,
I have a clocked shower drain here, but I can't manage to remove the cover to clean it up.

I've attached the picture - any ideas what to do? I thought that this thing in the middle would go off and below I would find a screw, but I couldn't remove it. I also tried to turn this thing and pull it up, but it wouldn't go off.

I don't want to brake the whole shower cabin only because of this drain cover

Thank you for your help in advance!

It should just pop off. Try getting a screwdriver between the cover and drain. There are no screws holding it down.

As John said, it looks like it is only snapped in place with flimsy spring pressure. Because of this, many will run a bead of silicone just under the lip to secure it in place. You may need to use a sharp blade to break the silicone loose before it pops off.
