Default Backed up drain line from sump pump

Backed up drain line from sump pump: The line runs out of the sump, 1 1/2" pvc comes out of the house and right angles down into the ground. The line is clear from the pump to the location where it exits the house, but is backed up from that location on. I am not able to see the exit and can only assume it runs to the drain hole (bee hive) at the end of my lot, but I am unfamiliar what is code (house built in 1994 Indiana). So how do I clear the rest of the drain line myself? Auger? Will that be long enough and strong enough. Currently only have 25' drill/hand powered option. I do not have a 'straight down' opening, I have a right angle to contend with. So far, I have put a hose into the line that leads down into the ground and it did not flush, rather it sat and drained slow like a bathroom sink when clogged. Thanks in advance!

You need a larger snake to clear the line. You can rent them but you would be far better off to call a plumber. Using a large machine can be very dangerous. I suggest you read this post before making your decision.

Ok, I hear you. Freak accidents can happen to anyone no matter experience right? Is this a diy attitude? So if I go the cautious direction, I am wondering if anyone knows a price range to expect for this service (larger city -Indianapolis)? Or who may be best to call, a franchise type of smaller local? I have a plumber but I don't know that he does this type of thing 'on the side'. As always ...thank you for your feedback!

Check with people you trust for recommendations. My choice would be a full service plumber, but being as I am one I might be a little prejudice.
