Default water pipe insulation

I'm a do it yourselfer and am reinstalling some cpvc pipe in my house. As part of the install, I'd like to wrap the new lines in the installation sleeves to keep the water hotter longer, energy savings, etc.

I know cpvc has a list of materials where it is not compatible.

I do not see foam or rubber pipe insulation on the list, but wanted to see if anyone sees any issues

Thanks

I don't believe you would have a problem if you wrap the cpvc with the foam sleeves. Make sure you wrap the ends of the sleeves tight, so as to not let the heat escape. I myself started wrapping the ends, but got tired of laying in a 140 degree attic, so this will be a great winter project.

I don't recall any of the foam or foam rubber insulation materials being on the list that I have seen, either. I can also tell you that we have used the foam insulation extensively, and I am not aware of any problems arising from it.
