Anyone know what year lead pipes were phased out?

They have been continuously phasing them out since the first ones were installed.

Although I was required to learn how to repair them during my apprenticeship, they were not being installed in new construction in 1970.

It actually makes the water taste great! That and I loved the protective layer it puts on my lead fillings on meh teef. Part of the reason I have to use a catheter at age 40.
