Gurgling toilet

Hi...
I'm a rookie to this forum; thanx in advance for any info.
My toilet gurgles and semi-flushes when I drain the tub after a bath, leaving the bowl empty of water.
Water in the tub drains quickly......and it's like the vent is blocked or partly blocked, and the draining tub is taking air from the toilet bowl......make any sense ? I've not been on the roof to check the vents as of yet....(Wisconsin winter). Thanx again, Septik from WI

I can almost guarantee it is a clogged vent. I am not sure how it drains the whole toilet bowl though since once the toilet trap loses it's seal, there should be no further water drainage. Still not a good situation since this will still allow sewer gas to enter the house.

Thanx majakdragon....will get up on the roof with my 12 gauge shotgun and clear the vents...lol.

Grenades are my vent cleaner of choice, it gets right to the problem and will save you the trouble of carrying the shotgun onto the roof.
