Default Copper pinhole leak.

Replacing the bad copper is clearly solution, but in this case isn't most convenient. Occupant of house recently passed and in all likelihood the state will have to take house as owner is in nursing home and never took proper legal action to avoid that.
Thus putting a lot of effort into replacing a piece of pipe isnt something we want to do as my family clean out the house.
Water is dripping onto concrete basement floor so isn't causing a problem. I just fear it might get worse and as it feeds kitchen sink dont to just turn it off.

I'm guessing there is no effective way to "patch" it? Sorta thinking a couple of Sharkbites connectors. One might even do it.

Looks like it was near where someone tapped for an ice maker.

Having flown in I didnt put a torch in my carry on!

Ajay for a temporary just use a small piece of rubber over the pin hole and put a hose clamp around it. It should last for as long as you need.

I got a set for my daughter and son-in-law in both sizes after spending a Sunday evening fixing a pin hole leak under a clamp installed 30 years ago. I figure if it happens again it will buy me some time so I can do the proper repair at my convenience.
