Default A commercial water line install.

Just a couple pics of a water line going in.

Wet Barrel fire hydrant, for those of you that live in climates that freeze you will have the nut on the top of the hydrant.

Detector Check assembly

Thats funny, we paint them the same day we put them up to at least hide them from the dumb tweakers.

Default hydrants

We do not worry about freezing, but we still use the ones with the bottom disc. It prevents "geysers" when someone snaps the barrels off, although it does ruin some good video footage.

A few years back I was installing a dry barrel hydrant and the truck driver tossed it off the truck and the check valve break off portion broke and that stainless steel rod shot half way through a work truck. It's made to stop water quick.
