Camera service starts at $600, over 50 feet and locate $800.
New kitchen faucet with sprayer and new stops start at $1225
Basic sewer service starts at $445, camera is $250 extra. A bargain compared to the standard camera service.
Change 3 handle tub shower faucet with same $995. Tempering valve is an extra $450 so I recommend the single handle upgrade.
Change 3 handle tub shower to single handle starts at $1,325
Flapper change is $124 minimum, but I always recommend the complete rebuild for $775, cheaper than a new toilet.
A new standard toilet would start at $990.
Seeing the look on their faces when they hear the cost of repairs: priceless!

I was just joking with those prices. They are some of the rates I've run into by the "premier" plumbing companies in my area. Not that there is anything wrong with what a company charges. The company that I work for is primarily new construction, but I do run service for them. It's all word of mouth, no advertising so the prices are very affordable. All time and material and I have no clue as to what they charge, but customers have said they are fair.

those prices were high end, people will pay that, however once they find out that almost double of the AVG, the company will find itself on rip off list or some other report... maybe even chris hanson might need some work done...
Replace wax ring $97, Cable main line from roof vent $120

The statement could apply to both of us, LOTP, because those are flat rate company prices. I am a firm believer that any company can charge whatever they want to and as long as the customer agrees to it, all is good. The only problem I have is the method by which the sale is made. Some unethical plumbers will scare customers into having unnecessary work done or lie about what the true problem is.
I've been around the block a few times and I will say any plumber, no matter what they charge could be guilty of this. Additionally, most complaints come from customers who pay the LOWEST price and insist on having the CHEAPEST work performed.
Regardless of price, being ethical, showing quality workmanship, professional conduct, etc. will always leave you with a happy customer.
I know a number of 'service system' plumbers that are great role models for apprentices and are worth more than what they charge.
I don't like to do side work. When asked, I quote $100/hour + materials to start. Usually people don't bite, but if I'm going to be taken away from my family on my off-time I will make it worth my while.
