Default Plumbing Forums Secret Santa

Just wondering if you guys are interested in doing one here?

The idea would be everyone would email me there name and address and My other half or myself would put all the names in a hat and draw them to see who got who. then We would have a cap on the gift cost of 10 or 20 bucks and it would need to be shipped by the 15th of December to ensure it gets to the other by Christmas.

Post in this thread if you are interested and if we get enough people to make it work then I guess we can do it, if not then this thread will fall into the depths of PF unknown.

I could see this ending badly with some of the twisted people we have in here...

I have no idea. I can't even decide on gifts for myself...

I just bought myself a waterproof rechargable spotlight, it's pretty sweet.

I enjoy buying gifts for the family, we grew up poor and I have made something of myself so I like sharing a little but I am sure they probably think I am rubbing it in.

I'm lumped in with the poor people because I'm the "poor" side of the family.

I give gift certificates, they don't even have the gas to come. This year I told them I'm not buying gifts for people I don't know who don't even show up (five years running).

Not that I want to get stuck with the rich side, they go all out, 4 $50 lottery tickets in each stocking. We aren't even given stockings, or socks.

They are in a different room (not kidding) so it's a weird weird thing.

I am not rich but not poor. I like to actually give a gift, something I went out of my way just a little to think you may want and go and get it for you. I hate getting gifts that the other person thought was cool or they liked but I have no interest in.

I do spoil the other half just a little but it is usually just stuff for the house anyway so it is like buying it for myself in a way.

We have stockings but they are filled with empty grocery bags. We have an agreement to not buy junk just to buy something.

I tell everyone not to get me anything but a card because I have everything I need or want.

I spoil mine as well. She knows it but she keeps me humble by ignoring it.

It's weird, but it works for us.
