Default Leaking sprinkler head and valves

I recently had some swales put in my yard. I hired a drainage contractor to do the work. It involved moving around some sprinkler valves apparently. I'm guessing this was done to move them out of the path of the swale or bury them deeper under it. Right after the project was over, I noticed that one of my sprinkler heads was leaking. It's not gushing water; it's a very slow but constant leak. My house is on a bit of an slope and this particular head is at the very bottom of the slope. I'm guess that water in the sprinkler lines is being pushed down into this head by gravity and maybe that's why it's leaking. I don't know for sure if one of the valves they messed with controls that particular head, but there's a good chance of it. Anyway, I guess my question is how likely is the leakage I'm seeing due to something they did with the valves? Before I confront the guy over it, I'd like to be armed with some knowledge if possible.

Thanks,
Dave

I'm sorry, dland, but it would be impossible for anybody to determine what may or may-not have caused the leaking head and if the contractor had any influence on it. An on site visit from a sprinkler specialist who can see the work that was done and ask the appropriate questions to narrow down the cause would be your best bet.

Turns out it was the valve after all. Contractor said it wasn't their fault (no surprise there), but it got fixed.
