Any guesses on how many watts of electricity an average well pump pulls?

I have a 300' well, if that matters.

Keith, according to Ohm's Law Calculator @ 230v / 5amps =1150 watts ---- @ 115v / 10.5 amps = 1208 watts. Google ohm's law calculator and use the info on your pump name plate to find needed electrical info.

If it's a submersible, and you tell us the horsepower we can get pretty close. A jet pump might be a little harder with the different service factors.
